Bainha aberta: formas de bordar (II) / Drawn thread work: Openwork embellishment (II)

Mais uma Primeira Comunhão de uma sobrinha-neta! Estou a fazer-lhe uma toalha de linho e vou aproveitar para mostrar mais um tutorial, passo a passo, de outra forma de bordar a bainha aberta, tal como eu faço.
Cortar o linho, tirar os fios para a bainha aberta e fazer o ponto ajour são os primeiros passos para bordar uma bainha aberta.
Não vou aplicar renda nesta toalha. Fiz duas barras de bainha aberta: uma mais larga, que levará um monograma bordado por cima e que será a frente da toalha, outra no lado oposto, mais estreita.
Começei pela mais estreita. O ponto base que utilizo é o ponto nó simples. Trabalho do lado do avesso e chamo a esta bainha aberta ponto em forma de diamante, mas não sei se é o nome correcto em português.

Another grand-niece First Communion! I’ve begin another linen towel and I’ll catch the opportunity to show a tutorial of another oppenwork embellishment, step-by-step, just as I do.
To cut the linen, draw the threads and hem stitch  are the first steps to begin a drawn thread embellishment.
This time I’ll not attach a crochet lace at this towel. I did two drawn thread rows: a larger one on the front of the towel above which a monogram will be embroidered, a narrower one on the opposite side.
I began with the narrow row. The main stitch used is coral knot. I work on the reverse side and call this embellishment diamond shape stitch, but I’m not sure it’s the proper English name.

1) um ponto nó simples a meio da barra, apanhando dois grupos de fios. Peço desculpa por a agulha ter deslizado para cima enquanto fotografei, mas o nó é feito a meio.

1) a coral knot in the middle row, gathering two hem stitch bundles. I apologize for upper sliding needle while taking the photo, but knot is made in the middle.

2) a agulha passa por baixo do fio (que faz um arco para cima e para a direita) e de dois grupos de fios formados pelo ponto ajour (um deles já apanhado no nó anterior) e sai por cima da linha formando outro nó, mesmo junto ao bordo de cima.

2) then the needle goes under the thread (which is forming a up and right loop) and two hem stitch bunches (one of them already gathered in the previous knot) and comes over the thread creating another knot, just  near upper hem.

3) os mesmo dois grupos de fios são apanhados, mesmo junto ao bordo inferior da bainha aberta, tendo em atenção que agora o fio faz um arco para baixo.

3) the same two hem stitch bunches are gathered, just near the below hem, but pay attention: this time the thread is forming a downward loop.

4) trazer a agulha, de novo, para o meio apanhando um dos grupos de fios anteriores e um novo grupo, para completar o formato do diamante.

4) bring the needle into the middle again, gathering one of the previous hem stitch bunches with a new one bunch, finishing the diamond shape.

e é este o aspecto do ponto em forma de diamante, do avesso,

e o aspecto que tem, do lado direito. Reparem naquele fio que escapou de um dos nós :(… acontece, é um trabalho feito à mão…
Espero que tudo isto não esteja muito confuso. É mais fácil fazer que explicar, já o disse anteriormente – acreditem!
Na próxima entrada explicarei como faço quando o fio acaba a meio da bainha aberta.
