Uma espécie de slideshow de cada passo da execução destes alfinetes.
A kind of step by step slideshow.

1 – depois de bordar, colocar outro pedaço de linho, por trás, e contornar em ponto adiante, duas vezes, a forma do alfinete, com linha de coser à máquina, deixando uma abertura.
1 – after the embroidery done, put another piece of line behind and outline with running stitch the shape twice using sewing machine thread and leaving an opening.

2 – aspeto do avesso. 2 – a back view.

3 – recortar o formato do alfinete (este formato não é fácil…) usando aquelas embalagens de plástico em que vêm facas, tesouras, chupetas e tanta coisa mais: a seta pequena mostra o recorte já feito (deve ser mais pequeno para permitir a entrada da agulha, posteriormente) e a seta grande mostra a ponta da embalagem.
3 – cut the shape of the pin (this shape is not easy…) using those plastic packages around knives, scissors, pacifiers and so many things: the smaller arrow shows the cut shape done (must be smaller to allow doing the stitches later) and the big arrow  shows a corner of the package.
4 – experimentar se entra pelo espaço que deixamos e se fica dentro das linhas paralelas (estas linhas em ponto adiante vão ficar cobertas e têm que apanhar os dois pedaços de linho); se tudo está bem mantêm-se o plástico dentro, continuando a fazer as linhas paralelas até deixar uma abertura mais pequena.
4 – test if the shape suits in the opening left and if it  fits into, inside (?) the paralel lines (these lines will be covered and the stitches have to gather the two layers of linen); if everything is well go on stitching the two paralel lines keeping the plastic inside and this time we’ll keep a smaller opening.

5 – aspeto do avesso e já com o fecho cosido (depois é mais difícil).
5 – a back view with the lock (?) already apllied (later is difficult).

6 – com linha coton à border nº 25, começar a fazer ponto recorte, tendo como referência as duas linhas paralelas e sem esquecer que por trás há já um fecho metálico…
6 – with coton à border nº 25 begin doing buttonhole (blanket) stitch referring to the parallel lines and not forgetting there is a metalic lock behind…
7 – perto da pequena abertura encher o alfinete, por cima do plástico.
7 – near the little opening fill the pin, over the plastic.
8 – a parte bordada é a que estou a segurar, consegue-se ver?
8 – my hand is with the embroidered layer, can you see?
9 – a seta está a indicar a parte mais difícil de fazer o ponto recorte; tem de ser feito como se faz quando estamos com bastidor: p’ra baixo, p’ra cima, p’ra baixo, p’ra cima.
9 – the arrow is showing you the most difficult point to do buttonhole stitch; you must do it as if you were with a hoop: down, up, down, up.
10 – corta-se o excesso de pano que fica à volta.
10 – cut surplus linen around.
11 – com uma tesoura muito fina e boa, cujas pontas cortem bem, começar a cortar nesta posição – o ponto recorte fica com uma serrilha que não pode ser cortada! Se necessário usem lupa, doutro modo lá vai o trabalho todo. Quem já fez Richelieu ou bordado da Madeira sabe fazer isto. Para mim estes alfinetes foram a primeira vez :-|
11 – with thin and very good scissors begin cutting that way – buttonhole makes knurls which can’t be cut! If need use a magnyfier. Those of you who have already made Richelieu embroidery or Madeira embroidery (all Cutwork) know how to. To me those pins were my first time :-|

(nota: gostava de saber porque nalgumas imagens o branco do linho fica azulado – sem flash, noutras não…ainda não sei funcionar bem com a nova máquina!)
